A few of the MANY memories of our Grandad:

October 2015 A few of the MANY memories of our Grandad. We adored our Grandad. We loved how he always spoke his mind and you knew exactly where you stood. A loving grandad with a huge heart. A quiet man with a passion for Welsh rugby. His loving nature, a family man, happy when we were all together. Grandad's stuffing was the best, only he could make it. No one cooked a roast dinner like our Grandad, no one made fish and chips, meat pie or faggots and mash taste quite the same! We never left the house hungry, food in our tummies, a car boot full of his green house veg. Feeding the Great Grandchildren food he knew they should not have and having a storage of chocolate just for them. The "Bob" inspection when any of us moved into new houses, checking windows and doors locked, making sure our lawns were cut before he came over (his was immaculate!). He once left the electric blanket on all night with us still in the bed. The smell of Brylcreem and olbas oil - that was his scent. Allowing us our independence when we were little, when you first let us walk somewhere on our own, we knew you were 20 paces behind us watching us until we were safe. Grandad, you made us so proud and we loved to see you so proud of us ("all five of my Grandchildren graduated you know" - this is what he would tell people), our graduation photos displayed on "the wall of fame". Grandad, you will be so sadly missed but we will carry you with us, right by our side, in our hearts in all that we do, just as you did for us. We will always love you and there will always be something there to remind us of the millions of happy times we shared. With all our love always, your Grandchildren - Carey, Kirsty, Stacey, Christopher and Helen X X X X X And your Great Grandchildren - Evie, Arthur and Emily X X X X
